ACORN OF THE KEEPER - CAMEO KIT
================================

Thanks for being part of the quest! Players hunt for a small golden acorn
across indie games. Your game hides one fragment of it. When a player finds
the acorn and its code in your game, they enter the code on our website and
unlock a story chapter, and some of them come to play your game.

WHAT'S IN THIS ZIP
------------------
pixel-32.png, pixel-64.png pixel-art acorn (2 sizes)
soft-256.png soft, painted version
*-glow.png the same pictures on a soft golden glow
*-glow-bob.png animated PNG: the acorn gently floats up and down
README.txt this file

All plain files have a transparent background. The "-glow" files carry the
quest's shared golden glow, so players recognise the acorn in every game.

HOW TO ADD IT (about 10 minutes)
--------------------------------
1. Pick the version that fits your game's style: pixel-* for pixel art,
   soft for painted graphics.
2. Put the picture somewhere in the scene: on a shelf, a wall or a table,
as an item, on the loading screen or in the credits.
3. Show the text card (below) next to it, in your game's own font, and the
QR code picture we send you (qr-<YOUR-CODE>.png). Some players scan the QR,
others type the code by hand, so please include both. Nothing has to be
   clickable.
4. Replace the placeholders <N> and <YOUR-CODE>. Your personal code, fragment
number and QR picture are NOT in this zip. We send them to you in a message,
one set per game. If you haven't received yours, just ask.
5. Make sure the acorn is visible and readable without hunting
(not hidden in the dark, not behind a locked door), and that the code
   can be read without zooming.

PIXEL-ART TIP
-------------
When you scale the pixel versions, turn smoothing off
(Nearest / Point filter), otherwise the edges get blurry.

THE ANIMATION
-------------
The "-glow-bob" files already move. If you would rather animate it in your
engine, use the plain "-glow" picture and move it up and down by about 6% of
its height over 4 seconds (ease-in-out, looping).

KEEPING IT RECOGNISABLE
-----------------------
Please use the acorn as it is: no recolouring or redrawing, so players can
spot it in every game. You can scale it and place it wherever it fits.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS
---------------
A popup, a sound or a small hidden twist is entirely up to you. It is a
bonus, not a requirement. The cameo must never block a player's progress.

REMOVING IT
-----------
You can take it out at any time. Just let us know so we can update the
quest page.

QUESTIONS
---------
Use the form on the developers page, or reply to the message we sent you.
